Lessons & Programs
We welcome students of all ages, from young beginners to adults. Our programs are designed to support each student according to their age, level, and learning style.
Siran Music Academy offers professional instruction in piano, music theory, ear training, and RCM/ABRSM exam preparation. Kids music (Orff), recorder, and additional programs may be available throughout the year.
Most private lessons are offered weekly in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions. Customized schedules may also be arranged depending on the student’s goals and level.
Yes. We offer both private one-on-one instruction and selected group classes, depending on the program and student level.
We offer both in-person lessons at our North Vancouver studio and online lessons via Google Meet for students who prefer remote learning or flexible scheduling.
General
You can register by contacting the academy through our website, scheduling a consultation, or booking directly through our online booking system. We will help determine the best program and schedule for you.
Yes. We offer a free trial lesson for all new students. This session lets Siranoush assess your current level and demonstrate her teaching approach before you commit to a program.
After registration, students will receive guidance on books, materials, and lesson expectations. Beginners only need enthusiasm and readiness to learn.
Required books and materials depend on the student’s level and goals. Our instructor carefully selects resources based on each student’s individualized learning plan.
Policies & Payment
Lessons start at $25/student for kids group classes, $45/lesson for private piano and flute recorder, $60/lesson for piano exam preparation, and $75/lesson for RCM Theory. Teen and adult group classes are $120/student per 4 sessions. Terms are available in 4-session monthly or 8-session bi-monthly options. Payment is by cash only.
We understand that unexpected situations happen. Students are asked to provide at least 24 hours advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests. Makeup lessons may be offered when possible.
Student safety and comfort are very important to us. Our studio maintains a professional, clean, and welcoming learning environment for all students and families.
Exams & Certifications
Lessons are led by Siranoush Akhgarandouz, an officially certified RCM teacher and professional member of RMT, BCRMTA, and CFMTA, with over 21 years of experience and 17 RCM student certificates earned by her students.
Yes. Students have opportunities to participate in recitals, performances, festivals, competitions, and examination programs throughout the year to build confidence and stage experience.
Students receive regular feedback, progress updates, and guidance throughout their studies. Parents and students can discuss goals, development, and exam preparation directly with the instructor.
